Need 9 credits in free electives for TESC BA Degree. Any ideas? - kevinmane - 08-17-2015 Can anyone name me off some ways to get 9 credits in free electives towards the TESC Liberal Studies BA Degree? My wife pretty much fulfilled all the other requirements but needs 9 more credits in free electives. She doesn't like CLEPs, DSSTs, or ALEKS math/stats. I was thinking she should take three 3-credit VESi courses through Augustana College. I don't know much about Straighterline - does TESC still accepts credit through them. And if so, how does it work? TESC no longer takes FEMA credits raw - but do they still accept them through another college? If so, which one is a good one to launder them through? Any other ideas for quick, cheap, and easy way to get more free elective credits without having to take any CLEPS or DSSTs would be great. Thanks! ![]() Need 9 credits in free electives for TESC BA Degree. Any ideas? - lavagirl - 08-17-2015 She can get 6 free TEEX credits , 3 free Kaplan PLA credits or 3 free NFA credits. ( Search about it on the forum). All credits are ACE approved. No proctored exams. Very quick to do. And they are FREE! Need 9 credits in free electives for TESC BA Degree. Any ideas? - dfrecore - 08-17-2015 TESC does not accept FEMA credits at all, not even laundered. But yes, you can do SL courses, Sophia is good (and they have coupons or other ways to get the price down, I got mine for free), Kaplan PLA is extremely fast and easy (and I actually learned stuff as well), TEEX is good, not easy if you're not familiar with computers, but they definitely teach you in a way you can learn it, NFA courses are similar to FEMA, there are 3 available (1 cr each). Lots of other ways to earn credits as well - from community colleges to online courses. Most aren't free, but decently priced. I assumed you were talking about the "free electives" section rather than free courses? Need 9 credits in free electives for TESC BA Degree. I meant the free electives portion of the BA Degree, not "no-cost" elective credits. Thanks for the suggestions! |
