TESC BSBA Marketing Plan - Feedback, please? - smrt - 12-27-2015

I've put together this plan and would love some feedback on it. It's based on a plan I got from dfrecore, which was SUPER helpful.

- Are there any "easier" TECEPs that I could substitute in for what I have?
- Where can I take Marketing Research and Principles of Finance?
- Does anything duplicate?
- Does the Negotiations TECEP fulfill a marketing elective requirement? It feels like it should, but if not I can swap it out for something else.

Thanks in advance!

Applied Math was very easy, especially if you've taken Algebra & Stats. It will go to Gen Ed (maybe instead of Spanish?)

Prin of Finance is available via DSST, UExcel, Propero, & Penn Foster

Marketing Research is available via LSU-DL

I think Negotiations is a MAN course rather than MAR, but I would check with TESC.

Public Relations TECEP is a MAR course, and looks easy.

Business Ethics will not replace International Business/Business in Society. You can do a TECEP or TorCollegeCredits for that.

CPCU Ethics may not completely fulfill the Ethics requirements - in which case it would move to GenEd when you did another Ethics course.

Hey Smrt! I noticed you had the CPCU Ethics for 2 units done, what are you going to do for the 3rd unit? I also just did the CPCS Ethics, and I'm wondering where to get the extra credit for Ethics.

Cheers!

That's a good question. I don't think I can find one credit in Ethics, so it's probably going to need to move down to Misc Electives. I just swapped Kaplan PLA into Gen Ed electives to make room for CPCU under Misc. Now I have a 2 credit hole in Misc Electives and a 3 credit hole in Ethics.

I think we deserve a few credits for figuring all this stuff out. Smile

Mine will just go to GenEd electives, and I'm going to have to take an Ethics course to fill in the Ethics requirement. I just think of it as a free 2 credits.

smrt - I agree, there SHOULD be credit for this stuff!!! :-)

Do any of y'all know if SL Business Ethics overlaps Saylor's Business Law & Ethics? I can't find anything on it. That should fill my last empty slot. Thanks Smile

Saylor's Business Law & Ethics comes in as LAW-201 (fulfills the business law area), while SL's Business Ethics comes in as PHI-384 (fulfills Ethics).

I don't know if this would work, but Penn Foster has Marketing Research that is currently approved by ACE.

What about DSST Business Ethics? Wouldn't that fill ethics requirement?
