Has anyone else ended up with a ridiculous amount of college credits? - Leherself - 01-16-2016 So lets see... 90 credits of CBE so far. 27 military credits. (6 ACE recommended, 21 B&M granted) 43 College credits from classes (B&M & Online). ---- 160 total. I have an associate's degree. Those are all semester credits, btw! Not a quarter hour to be seen. I've been taking a bit of a break lately, actually, so that's actually the same total that I had when I was actually finally granted my associate's degree (this is what happens when you procrastinate about math for about a decade, btw, lol). How much do I have left before my bachelors? Well, since I decided to switch to TESU at the last minute, at least 24 if I want to use my veterans benefits and/or military tuition rate. Plus I need at least 15 credits of specific pre-requisites for my planned graduate degree program. Right now it looks like only 6 credits of those pre-requisites will be taken at TESU. So 24 + 9 = 33. Add in some extra DSSTs that I plan to take just for fun (they're free for me, so why not?)... I'm going to have more than 200 credits by the time I get my Bachelor's. How efficient of me. Story of a misspent youth, I guess. Anyone else have a similar rap sheet? Or am I just uniquely bad at this whole actually-getting-a-degree-for-my-efforts thing? It helps when CLEPs and DSSTs are free to take! Has anyone else ended up with a ridiculous amount of college credits? - rebel100 - 01-16-2016 I have 160 or so undergrad college credits, a bunch of FEMA (like 20-30, none of which I ever used for a degree). Then another 33 for the MBA, plus 3 from my misstart at WNMU. So well over 200 Has anyone else ended up with a ridiculous amount of college credits? - cookderosa - 01-16-2016 rebel100 Wrote:I have 160 or so undergrad college credits, a bunch of FEMA (like 20-30, none of which I ever used for a degree). Has anyone else ended up with a ridiculous amount of college credits? - Mamasaphire - 01-25-2016 I love it! You are all very inspirational!! I am at a measly 131 credits, with another 6 credits currently in progress. Oh and over 20 some FEMA credits which don't do anything for my current degree plans. I still have another 6 credits needed for TESU Liberal Studies (including Capstone), or 15 if I go with the Social Science degree. I will have 142 when I finish my BSBA in HR, but I'm considering getting a dual degree (not sure in what yet), or a cert in PM (not sure from where yet) to top it off! Still thinking about an MBA in HR at Patten as well... |
