TESU Oral Communication requirement - l8989v - 03-17-2016 Hi! I'm looking for courses that fulfill the Oral Communication requirement at TESU. What I already know SL Intro to Communications TCC Introduction to Public Speaking Looking for other options, preferably without a speaking part. I absolutely hate that and if possible would want to avoid. Anyone have suggestions? From colleges perhaps? CLEP and DSST are not an option. Thanks so much! TESU Oral Communication requirement - kb4ns1 - 03-17-2016 I did mine via Straighterline and I can't imagine there being an easier way - especially if you hate or fear public speaking. You record videos on your webcam and upload them to YouTube. When someone from SL reviews them and you get credit, you delete them. They might get two views. Two of my three videos had one single view (according to the YouTube counter) when I got credit. TESU Oral Communication requirement - Prloko - 03-17-2016 ....................... TESU Oral Communication requirement - RANSOMSOUL - 03-17-2016 Great suggestion with Straighterline kb4ns1. The process is really straight forward: Record the video as many times as needed to feel comfortable about it. Upload it as 'unlisted' and Youtube provides a provide link. This way you are literally only sharing with the grader. Delete file after grading has been posted. You will do amazing!!! TESU Oral Communication requirement - dfrecore - 03-17-2016 l8989v Wrote:Hi! Unfortunately, the ORAL Communication requirement includes speaking. That IS the requirement. You can't get out of it. Any course you take for this requirement must have some element of speaking in front of people or in front of a camera to count. I think the camera is a MUCH better option for those who don't want to stand up in front of people. TESU Oral Communication requirement - ftsfour1 - 03-17-2016 I'm doing the SL course now. I did my first video last night. I completed all the exams except for the final today. 2 more videos and final exam wraps me up. There are only three videos and the first isn't graded. My struggle is taking the time to write out what I'm going to say. I'm 47 years old and I don't really care about the video part. 20 years ago I'd have been all nervous. Now? Meh |
