Has anyone completed this course recently? I'm in the middle of both the PDF study guide and the users guide they provide. As I understand it the next step is to download the video and pay to use Proctor U.

Any tips or pointers for the final?

There are a handful of folks that took the old course around here, but I don't think anyone has taken the course you'd be on. They completely redid the course as of 5/2016

Bringing this thread back that I started...

I'm not sure what else to do to get a hold of Coopersmith to enroll in the Info Lit course. I was approved to take it through EC about two months ago (but i've been Clepping and not wasting time) and never heard back the first time that I enrolled. Iv'e emailed them, enrolled with two different email addresses, and even had EC send me a link that was in their records but it was the same website I was going to. I also clicked on the area enabling me to chat with a "mentor." That didn't work either. After I enrolled for a second time with my other email address, I received a canned email just like I did the first time stating "thank you for enrolling, we will be in touch." I don't see any phone numbers on their lame website either.

Are there any Coppersmith reps on this forum or anyone else have any ideas?

Were they running an illegal operation behind the scenes and shut down by the feds or something? Smile

Out of curiosity, what email are you sending to? They always got back to me within about a day, and my most recent email from them was Jul 8th.

Try exams@torcollegecredits.com or support@torcollegecredits.com if you havent already

Coopersmith and Tor Academy are two different institutions. Although EC brought up the fact I can use Tor Academy (your above referenced emails) if I don't hear back from coopersmith.

Here's Coopersmith's website. http://www.secularcourses.com. I will probably abandon ship soon and just go with Tor Academy.

They're the same. I believe Coopersmith is being phased out. You can find Information Literacy listed on the Tor website under Coopersmith.

Thats their old website and probably why you're not getting a response. Tor is the same people as Coopersmith.

Hey. Thanks for your info. I was getting bad information from my EC advisor then. She told me they were separate and that if I wanted to use Tor, i'd have to get permission. I will bring this up to them.

Thanks again!

All of Tor's courses are NCCRS-approved under the name Coopersmith.

This is mostly true... but to further complicate things, the newest courses they released in the past month or so are listed in NCCRS under "Tor Academy."

They need to just stick with one organization.
