FREE Ethics Course -TESU - lovewins - 08-11-2016 I have just taken my 1st test-out course and passed, very excited. Supposively, this will satisfy the 3 credit TESU Gen Ed Ethics requirement- 1) can anyone confirm that this is the case and theirs has been accepted this way AND was yours accepted for 2 or 3 credits? Also, now that Ive taken and passed this test, Im unsure of the process to get it to TESU to be added to my Academic Eval-I keep hearing about something called ACE, not sure what that is but apparently its part of the process. 2) Can someone explain the step by step process to me? p.s. for anyone considering taking the Institute's Ethics course, its worth it. boring but worth it, mostly because its FREE!!! But its also pretty easy. It took my a total of 3 hours to complete from the point where I registered to completing the test. FREE Ethics Course -TESU - bjcheung77 - 08-11-2016 It's only 2 credits, you'll have to make up a credit somewhere... While you're at it, if you wanted, you can take the FREE NFA courses for 3 credits. There's 3 courses in total that grant credit as it's recommended by ACE, and it's 1 credit each, very easy to complete as well. I'm not sure, if you're into CyberSecurity, there's 6 free credits as well through TEEX. However, it's a bit time consuming, but well worth it as well. You can check these out in the degreeforum.wikia.com or the Beginners Guide I wrote earlier in the year. FREE Ethics Course -TESU - jsd - 08-11-2016 It will certainly count for your General Ed ethics requirement, you'll make up the left over credit in your Gen Ed electives. Many of us have gone through this process, so it's not speculation. You're good! Signup for ACE's transcript service here: https://www2.acenet.edu/credit/?fuseaction=transcripts.main Search for the course you completed, request it to be added to your account, and they'll confirm you completed it and approve it within a few days. You can then have an ACE transcript sent to the college. The first time you do this, it costs $20. Any additional time after that I believe it costs $15. So it's best to wait until you have all of the ACE credits you need before sending it over, that way you only pay one $20 fee. FREE Ethics Course -TESU - jsd - 08-11-2016 btw, the easiest way to find the Ethics course in the ACE database is by putting AICP-0121 in the "Course/Examination Number" search field. FREE Ethics Course -TESU - lovewins - 08-11-2016 Thank you both! Exactly the answers I needed ![]() What do the TEEX and NFA Free courses transfer is as? Free electives? Or do they satisfy another area? FREE Ethics Course -TESU - jsd - 08-11-2016 NFA are free electives, two of the three (2 cr) TEEX courses count as free electives, but I believe the third may count as a Gen Ed elective (someone else will have to confirm that, i don't know it for a fact, and could very likely be wrong). It will definitely count as a free elective if not a gen ed elective, so it's probably safest to err on the side of caution and assume they will all count as free elective only. One of the NFA courses comes in as HRM-331, which is an UL management course if you're a business major; otherwise it will be a free elective. The other 2 comes in as Free Electives (FIS-391, and FIS-241). One of the TEEX courses (301) comes in as CIS-244, which now can be used in Ged Ed. The other 2 are free electives (CAP-295 and CAP-385). Do you have personal experience with that transferring in as Gen Ed?
