Saylor - practice test compare to actual test - gremlinbrawler - 09-13-2016 Just posting this to see if anyone has feedback on how the Saylor practice tests compare to the for credit test. 1. Do you usually get a similar score on your real test as you did your practice test? Posts back in 2013 said that the real tests were way harder than the practice tests and I'm wondering if this is still the case or if they have fixed that problem. 2. Are the questions at all similar? I also read posts from 2013 saying that the real final was COMPLETElY different from the quizzes and final. I'm wondering if they are more similar now or still completely different? I know they will never have the same questions just wondering if the general concepts are the same. Any feedback would be appreciated. I'm taking Intro to Comparative Politics now. I made a separate account as suggested by other users to take the practice test and I got 64%. I've only been studying a couple of days but I took it to have an idea of what to be studying and such. Thanks everyone. Saylor - practice test compare to actual test - keepsingin - 09-15-2016 Of the four Saylor courses I've taken, Princ of Marketing is the only one in which the proctored test was pretty different from the practice test. With the other three, including Comparative Politics, the practice test was right on . However, with the Saylor courses I've taken, you need more than just the right answer to pass the final; you need a good grasp of the concepts, terms and/or names presented in the practice test and unit quizzes because a lot of the time it will be the same material but presented from a different angle. I'm sure they have more than one version of the proctored test, so everyone's experience may not be identical. But I've found that three practice tests pretty well prepare me for the proctored version. ...hope that all makes sense ![]() edit: 64% is pretty good for your first time through...mine is usually a lot lower than that lol. I would advise scoring near 80 before taking the proctored final. Personally I like to shoot for closer to 90 because I hate test anxiety!
