TESU BSBA General Management Degree Plan - Critique? - dexter1326 - 09-26-2016
I'm looking for input regarding my degree plan. My goal is to complete a BSBA in General Management through TESU. I have researched course equivalencies and transfer guides independently, but probably should have consulted the experts here sooner.
Can anyone tell me if all of the credits on the attached spreadsheet will transfer as intended/indicated? Any input is much appreciated.
(Fields with no highlighting are completed. Fields with yellow highlighting are in process, except Accounting 1 & 2, which are completed, but I forgot to remove highlight prior to posting. Fields with green highlighting are courses I have not yet started.)[ATTACH=CONFIG]1918[/ATTACH]

I'm no expert in the credit equivalency thing, but I can tell you... if you wanted to save some money, you can get all your math classes completed on ALEKS for $20. No final exam.

A few problems:
1) You don't have any ACC, FIN, or MAR courses in the AOS. You are full of MAN courses. The degree requires that 3 out of the 4 areas be covered. So, you need to remove 2 of your courses there and replace
2) Org Behavior and Leadership & Org Behavior are duplicates - delete the one you haven't taken yet, replace with Study.com's Digital Marketing
3) Personal Finance is not a Gen Ed, it's a Free Elective only
4) Intro to Business is not an AOS course, it's a Free Elective only - move and replace with one of either SL or Study.com's other ACC courses
5) I'm not sure your Real Estate course will go into the AOS, so you'd have to wait and see if it did;
6) Biology will move to Gen Ed Electives, you have the Science section full (only needs 4-7cr)
7) Make sure you only take 90cr at SL, that's the max TESU will accept from a single source (I think you're at 75cr but double-check)

You can use business math and intro to business under business electives.
Edit to add: Sorry about that, didn't look at the new degree plan. You could then use both courses under free electives. But, I would first ask Advising about your Real Estate credit, if not usable under AOS, could also fill free electives.

They no longer have a "Business Electives" area. I have that on my 2014 catalog, but it went away soon after that.
So you can either do Free Electives (Intro to Business for sure), or AOS (not sure if the Business Math will go here or not).

Thanks for all the very helpful responses. dfrecore is correct about the 75 SL credits, so I'm good there. I have confirmed that a PA Real Estate license is applicable to AOS. I forgot to fix A&I Lit CLEP, it's 6cr, so you don't need the Bio course in Gen Ed electives. The CLEP will carry down to that area.

This is from CLEP's website, only showing 3 credits. FWIW, I scored a 69 on it. (I know some CLEPs award more credit for higher scores.) I hope you're right; what do you have showing 6? (I reeeeallly don't want to take Bio.)

For some crazy reason, I can't cut and paste on my computer right now. But if you go to TESU's website and search for CLEP, they show the course equivalencies, and A&I Lit is 6cr.
If for some reason you needed another class, there are about a million choices that don't include Bio! If you don't want to take it, take something you DO want to take! Or at least won't hate...
