Which school for fastest Bachelors in English? - airricklee - 11-09-2016 Hello Everyone, Mainly looking up this up for my girlfriend. I have crept around the site for a year or two off an on. Mostly enjoying the references to good material and study guides. I know the names of the big three and the major ways that people reduce credits. Cleps DSST Straighterline. My girlfriend attended college for one semester and her boyfriend passed away in a motorcycle accident. She did very poorly afterwards and lost her financial aid. She is considering trying to earn a degree and I remember you guys! While I have looked up each of the schools, it is a little hard to piece all of it together. So would one of the gurus like to help me? We are trying to find which school would be best for a bachelors in English. We are looking for the fastest option, as long as it isnt overtly more expensive then the other two. We are open to using various testing methods and other online courses to finish the degree. Thanks for any help and guidance. Which school for fastest Bachelors in English? - Synicaal - 11-09-2016 Have her get ALKES done ASAP (12 math credits on the table)... other then that tip others can chime in. I haven't heard of an English Degree being something you can test out off. However now with Shmoop offering a ton of English Courses maybe this will be possible now. Right now she doesn't have internet access, thats why I am looking up most of the information for her. Her grades were not good, (she is going to pull out her transcript) but she believes mostly lower D's after the accident, So I dont believe many will be useful for transfer credits. She did say she wouldnt be opposed to retaking the courses in order to raise her gpa overall. Ideally her goal is too teach (texas) and maybe pursue some writing on the side. We are both on the same thought to try and eliminate as many classes through testing/exams. Then any courses left that do nott require residency try and find a cheaper alternative course such as straighter-line or an independent study. Then obviously if no other are availble take the courses from the university online. |
