See title. This would be an interesting thesis or dissertation topic. It's something I've thought about before, because if it's a psychosis, I'm pretty sure I have it. I'm two weeks away from graduation with my second Master's, and I'm already thinking about what's going to be next on my plate. Seriously considering going back to WGU for the BS Data Management/Data Analytics as it comes with a few decent certs built in and I'm moving into an Epic EHR position here in about 3 weeks. Now that everyone has their EHR in place and plugging all their data in, the hard part is getting that data back out in a meaningful way.

Or, at least, that's what I tell myself to justify spending more money and learning more crap.

I'm dmjacobsen, and I'm a degreeaholic.

I find myself wanting multiples also.

Are there legit ways to get more than 2 bachelors and associates? Can one mix NA degrees?

The limit of 2 is just TESU's policy. Some other schools will have similar policies, some won't. No reason not to look at NA if you're just degree hoarding and not concerned about utility

Uh-oh, I may be in trouble.

I got my BA and first masters (MA) the old-fashioned way, paying for them with scholarships and assistantships. Then I got an Ed.S. with my job paying for it, then an MMT with my job paying for it, then a CTSP and board certification with my job paying for it.

I can't justify paying for anything else because our salary scale puts Ed.S. and Ed.D. in the same lane, but I still think about it. Then I remind myself how much I like not having student loans.

Then I think about it some more. Wink

Disclaimer: I have 18 units of undergrad psychology, mostly earned in the 80s. So I don't know a blessed thing! Smile

My two cents:

If you're talking 20 or 30 degrees, I'd say yes, it could be a psychosis. If the diagnosis is confirmed, that means you've had a serious break with reality. Get treatment - fast.
If you're talking, say, half-a-dozen degrees, give or take - then it's likely not. It could sometimes be considered a neurosis, which is much less serious.

In that case, go for it. My experience is that people who appear completely non-neurotic are quite rare, and usually less interesting. Smile

I do not know of any community college that limits AS degrees as long as you do 25% with them once. I received two at the same time from CCC and no extra resident credit requirement (AAS and AGS).cheersmate

The BS level seems to be different and way more controlled.:ack:

This actually works pretty well. I'm working on two side projects that I plan to develop into at least part-time businesses, and the itch for more credentials is -- very slowly -- waning as I delve more into the nitty gritty of expanding the projects.
