TESU BSBA.....No GPA - Toastmaster - 01-29-2017 Hi folks! Asking for a friend. If they were to test out of the BSBA completely, they would have no gpa. Alot of jobs ask for a gpa. What have you all done to get around that? They were thinking about taking a 1 credit course through TESU and paying the $499 Out of State credit hour fee just to get something on their transcript. What do you guys and gals think? TESU BSBA.....No GPA - cookderosa - 01-29-2017 Toastmaster Wrote:Hi folks! Asking for a friend. Of course, should your friend NOT earn an A, he'll have to take additional classes or be left with a low GPA. It is my opinion that your friend should choose his education based on long-term career goals, not just because testing out is an option. There are a lot of ways to save money and time without it being an "all test out" or "borrow 100k" decision. Seriously, he could test out of his gen eds, take classes in him major. I'm a fan of that approach because that's what I did <ha ha> but also because I had done homework and knew that there were many scenarios *for me* that played better with my letter grades on my transcript. *know that technically speaking, all transfer credit is ungraded, as are tests, but if he took courses at other schools, he would still have a GPA, it just wouldn't be on his TESU transcript. For me, I didn't want to mess- though I have many transcripts, I also have a transcript from TESU with a lot of graded credit and a high GPA. I provided it time and time again when I applied to grad schools AND a job I applied for yesterday REQUIRED my GPA from every institution, including high school (?) so I provided it again yesterday.
