Final 15 credits for BSBA in Gen. Mgmt @ TESU. Need motivation and help focusing. - ricky2k2 - 02-01-2017

I need the following:
Intro to Marketing
Principles of Finance
Business in Society
Then two elective business courses.

I'm a bit frazzled with work, family and trying to finish. In the last 12 months, I've tested out and leveraged Penn Foster/Straigtherline for the previous 80 credits. Please share some advice to help me hunker down for this last bit. I quit for 5 months because I was overwhelmed. I know I can study and take the CLEP and DSST anytime and that's been the problem.

What new options are available in for these courses? Recently, i heard about study.com and Davar for Finance. What can I do to fill in for Business in Society or is that the TECEP?

Also, my registration with TESU ended. (shame on me). Am I correct in understanding that it will now cost me $2k to graduate once I reregister?

Edit: Attached my evaluation. I was originally shooting for accounting; however, I changed my mind. I am no longer pursuing: Accounting Systems & Concepts, Federal Income Taxation and Auditing. I believe ECO-332 is Money and Banking DSST which I have yet to decide to take.

Intro to Marketing - Marketing CLEP exam, was super easy for me, did about 3hours studying the REA guide prior to going into the test. Got a 59 a lot of common sense stuff made it easy.

Principles of Finance - Study.com
Business in Society(Globalization & International Management) - Study.com
You can do these two in your month subscription shouldn't be an issue at all.

2 Business Electives if you need UL go for either SL or Study.com. For the GM degree you need to hit a few different areas to finish it. There is a bunch of reviews on some of the UL study.com courses floating around here. Just pick two and hammer them out.

You are 15 credits away and you got Strategic Management out of the way already. Just hammer down and finish. I almost switched from ACC to GM myself but I am working my way through Intermediate Accounting II at a CC so if I pass I will keep the Accounting Degree, If I don't I may consider switching. People on my Intermediate Accounting II thread were not joking its a really tough class and really should be UL and not a 200 level class.

For each of these, I used:

Intro to Marketing : Saylor.org: Principles of Marketing
Principles of Finance : Penn Foster: Financial Management
Business in Society : : Penn Foster: International Business

As always, check to see if they are still accepted in those slots or not before paying for them.

AoS electives, and you have your UL's covered?

You mean your enrollment? Yes you have to pay the $2000, but you were going to have to pay it anyway -- either as tuition to TESU for one of their plans, or to TESU for a bunch of TECEPs to gain the required number of credits for residency. You are better off under the new system; The only people it "hurt" were those who had already spent a bunch on TECEPs but didn't graduate in time for them to count towards residency.

Unless you had finished 16cr at TESU by the June 2016 term, you would have had to anyway. After that deadline only actual courses count towards residency. If you did complete 16cr by the deadline, there should be a note stating that your residency was satisfied on your evaluation. If so, they might still honor your residency when you re-enroll.

Principles of Finance - Study.com, Penn Foster, Davar Academy, DSST

Business in Society/International Business - Davar Academy, Study.com, Penn Foster, TECEP

Intro to Marketing - Saylor, Study.com, CLEP, TECEP

Business Electives: too many to list. You need a MAR or FIN course in there, you just need to decide what you want to take. Davar Academy recently added 2 FIN courses, there are also TECEP's, DSST's, Study.com courses that will work.
