Liberty University: Using Military and Emergency Personnel Discount - sanantone - 03-18-2017 At Liberty University, active duty, reserve, national guard, military spouses (natural-born of the opposite sex), and DOD employees qualify for the military tuition rate of $250 per credit hour. If you also work as a civilian in emergency response, you can qualify for a 25% discount on top of that making the rate $187.50 per credit hour. This forum mostly talks about the Big 3 because of the very small residency requirement and competency-based schools since you can move through them quickly at a low cost. Liberty University is a traditional school that isn't self-paced, and it has your typical residency requirement.
