How long for updated Evaluations? - Synicaal - 03-24-2017
Hello All,
I was just wondering after the initial 25 business day evaluation, how long does it take them to update when you send in new transcripts or updated transcripts. I sent a Straighterline transcript 2 weeks ago and still see nothing. I'm just going to assume they love to wait that 25 business days every time. If they keep doing this is makes it really hard to make sure credits are going where they should go.

Oh that is terrible. It will be cutting it close for the graduation deadline. I really wanted to see it completed on the eval before I apply but complete is still complete.
Thanks I will stop checking everyday again and just let it be. I still need to send my main CLEP transcript I better get on that haha.

I might be tempted to email them and ask them to hurry it up since you're trying to make your graduation date if I were you. In today's day and age and with CLEPS and SL courses... It could even be automated. I see the 25 business day thing as a cheap business move. I had to email them yesterday because it was well over 31 business days and my CLEP credits still were not approved.... it took only a few hours for them to rectify the situation.

If you have the name of an advisor you could email/call them. When I got my initial eval I told them I had an ace transcript coming in and they said they would "look out for it". It was added to my eval the next day. However I know that isn't typical. I need to order my last ace transcript (just waiting for study to approve my last course). I'm hoping it isn't another 25 days as I want to apply for graduation too. But I've got time at least. I just need to get it evaluated by July 1st for September.

Yes, I wholeheartedly advise that you reach out to someone directly. You can find the advisors listed on the site and email them. I'm not sure how they monitor their distribution boxes (advising, PLA, registrar etc) but I do know that someone can search the boxes for specific information and work "out of order" if a request is made. It wont guarantee a 10-minute turnaround, especially on a Monday or Friday but it may shorten your wait-time.

Thanks all, I am not worried about missing any deadlines as of yet I still have a very busy month of April in snagging credits. I just like that my CC added CLEP credits in about 7-10 business days after taking the test so you can see the progress being made. I guess I will make the CLEP transcript request as soon as possible so it gets there before the next 25day window on my SL transcript. I made the mistake of sending SL right after the first course just to see how it looks so that probably started the 25 business day clock. It just sucks that my last CLEP should be on May 6th and my CC courses end May 12th. So May 15th or so my classes should be added to my CC transcripts so I can send those in. I'm looking at Mid June for the Evaluation to be completed which is still within the July 1st deadline so I SHOULD be able to see a completed evaluation before applying for graduation.
Side Question: Do TECEP passes show up right after they grade them or does TESU give these the 25 day wait time also lol.

I requested an expedited evaluation and it took 3 days.
The Records Management - Office of the Registrar advised me to do the following, " If you would like to have your evaluation expedited for any reason, please send your request to Registrar@tesu.edu with your reasoning and âExpedited Evaluation Requestâ in the subject line."

The real graduation deadline is the final graduation audit, which may be as late as the final week of May. If your transfer courses were preplanned and there are no mistakes or omissions on your transferred transcript, you should be good to go regardless of whether you request an expedited evaluation. If they accidentally miss the transcript, there is still a week or so to fix it. I didn't bother requesting an expedited transcript and it worked out fine.
