You'll have to work for it- do some digging, see if ANY regionally accredited colleges offer cosmetology courses for CREDIT. If so, you might be able to make a case for a PLA. It isn't that you have not learned anything- but they can only award you credit for credit. So, start looking for credit courses (I answered this assuming your courses were not credit bearing from a RA college- but rather from a cosmetology school?) You can also probably do a PLA for a practicum (your hands-on hours). The portfolio has to prove you learned what was necessary for credit. You can't really make a strong portfolio without a course description. You have some homework before turning in your portfolio- or they will turn it down- make it strong, so you need to know your stuff going in. It's not impossible- and it certainly is worth the effort.
