English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - erinp88 - 04-06-2017 Hello all! I'm looking for an option to complete English 102/II course. I haven't done any of the credit course options, so I'm not sure if I'll prefer one format over the other. Not interested in trying the DSST. As a bonus, I never took Chemistry in high school and am looking for an option for that as well. I live in Michigan and our community college is not cheap at $200/credit hour. I've been scouring the various threads, but haven't seen an overabundance of reviews on either one of these subjects. Looking to hear what you like and what you don't like about the different platforms that are available... I really need to pick something and get going! Thanks! English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - JamesIE - 04-06-2017 I know you said you're not interested in the DSST, I did it this week. It was straightforward the sample questions on the exam fact sheet are representative of the exam. Only 64 questions, all multiple choice. English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - tsimmns - 04-06-2017 Any other study resources out there besides the exam fact sheet? I suck at English, but may give this a try before the end of the month with the free military re-take. English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - JamesIE - 04-07-2017 Not that I've seen or found. I'll write-up a better description later today when I'm at my computer. English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - cookderosa - 04-07-2017 erinp88 Wrote:Hello all! You can enroll in any of the New Mexico community colleges for as low as $50/credit as an out of state student. They have distance learning lab sciences too. English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - JamesIE - 04-07-2017 Study.com has Chemistry. It's recommended by ACE for 3 SH LL. English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - High_Order1 - 04-07-2017 There are several timely threads about english I here if you'll search. Unless something has changed, straighterline has chemistry I with lab available, I can't comment as I took biology lab. It all really depends on your learning style, what you currently know, and how much you want to exert. I have been told repeatedly that the DSST is the way to knock out English I and II, so that's my off the cuff recommendation. How do you find online CCs like this one?? Any specific searches or anything? Unless maybe this has already been mentioned on the forum and I missed it. I'm researching some non-ACE accredited courses, preferably online, and I never found anything as cheap as this one. Wonder if it'd be grad-school-prerequisite-friendly... EDIT: I forgot that UL CC courses transfer in to tesu as LL. Oops, so would not work for prereqs, I guess. Still a good option for other courses. English Compisition II and Chemistry Options - erinp88 - 04-10-2017 Thanks, everyone!! I'm going to look into New Mexico Community College and if they don't have a good option, I'll probably go with study.com. |
