StraighterLine Partner Scholarships - CarpeDiem8 - 04-15-2017
Hey guys!
I searched in the forum and didn't see anything related to this topic. Anyone enrolled in one of the schools listed in SL and see a marked savings? I'm asking since TESU is not listed, so now I'm thinking of changing schools if it means it will be cheaper, but I'm wondering if it's hype and not worth the hassle of telemarketers to call me (see fine print below).

Fine print:
"I hereby consent to receive telemarketing calls (including text messages) and emails using automated technology and prerecorded messages on behalf of StraighterLine and/or the education partners I selected regarding their educational services at the phone number and email address listed above. I understand that this consent is not a condition of enrollment at StraighterLine or any of its education partners."

WGU offers a $200 discount off the first term if you take a certain number of classes at SL.

I can verify this as well. With WGU they give you $200 discount and you can apply for the WGU Straighterline Scholarship which is $2000 which is disbursed in $500 over 4 terms. I got both of these!

I'll have to look into that second one - my son will only be doing one term, but if he could get $500 that would be fantastic!

WGU's deal sounds great! Anyone else trying out the other schools by any chance?

I'm not totally sure, but I think Excelsior's SL deal is the same (or not as good) as their PAOG deal.
