TESU Information Literacy Options? - CollegeKid - 06-21-2017

I'm looking for a list of all the possible options to fulfill the TESU Information Literacy Requirements for General Ed. I looked through some posts but couldn't find a complete list. Is that available somewhere?

I really loved Sanantone's Wiki post but I know that's outdated now... (http://degreeforum.wikia.com/wiki/Sanantone's_General_Education_Options)

Try this: http://www.tesu.edu/academics/courses/2016-and-After2.cfm
This still might be outdated, since it says 2016, but this lists courses you could take for Gen Ed. requirements. I think these are official TESU classes you can take, but if you're doing CLEP/DSST, you could compare those with TESU's options. Hope this helps!

Some I found doing a search on this forum:

CLEP: Analyzing and Interpreting Literature
Davar Academy: Information Literacy
DSST: Introduction to World Religions
Straighterline: Introduction to Religion
Study.com: Psychology 105
UExcel: Research Methods in Psychology

NOTHING has changed for the requirements, they all fit as is... so it's NOT outdated.
The infomation posted is exactly what you need and can chose from.
It's just any other "Humanities/Social Science" course with a focus.

I don't think there's been any confirmation from TESU that they will take the Davar Info Lit course as fulfilling this requirement (they have the same name, but that doesn't mean anything at this point).

Right. I think it's likely but not definite. I wouldn't take it for granted.

The technical writing TECEP was super easy. I got a 94 with about 2 hours of skimming a PDF of one of the suggested texts.

The 3 main options for this are World Religions, A&I Lit, and Tech Writing. All 3 are available from various sources, and all 3 are considered some of the easier courses/exams available.

Yes I see what you are saying. The list of courses is still very helpful. It's just outdated in the sense that the categories no longer line up with the TESU general ed requirements. So, for example, the Humanities/Social Science section lists courses which would not apply to Information Literacy or Quantitative Literacy or Oral Communication.
