Help with a quick class?!? - Mousebouncer - 06-28-2017

Just jumped through a lot of hoops to get my evaluation at TESU to graduate with AA in September. I just found out they didn't count my lab from Rio Salado, 2 education courses from Study.com, or a freshman entrance course from state college! I am missing a 3 credit class! Ideas? I am trying to plow through a study.com course, but don't know if I will have time to finish to apply for graduation by Friday. I have the ALEKS courses, a slew of study.com, and a handful of Sophia. Any ideas of recently approved, fast courses, that fall under general education electives at TESU?

Have you already done The Institutes ethics course and two of the free TEEX cybersecurity? And the 1 credit free Sophia? Which ALEKS did you do? Maybe you can do one more ALEKS.

Does TEEX count as General Education? Not free electives. Already have an ethics course that would duplicate Institutes. 1 credit Sophia won't really help. Only ALEKS left is statistics and that will take way longer!🤣 Thanks though. Back to slogging it out with study.com.

You could take one of the easier Saylor exams, if there are any which don't duplicate for you. They are free with $25 proctoring fee. Comparative Politics is supposed to be somewhat easy.

You can still apply for graduation. Just note in the proper section (3?) for outstanding courses/transcripts that you are taking a replacement 3 credit exam (CLEP/DSST/Saylor). Upon receipt of the application they will still begin processing your file, clears bursar, then it will sit in a pending pile until you let them know the final transcript is on its way or has been received by the school. The graduation specialist pulls your folder and requests an expedited evaluation, followed by audit and certification.

What about a quick CLEP or DSST exam? Probably faster then running through all the study.com quizzes.

You don't have to have everything already on your evaluation to apply for graduation. I am not sure who started this trend but it is not the case. Applying this late you are probably not going to get your first evaluation done until late July. You probably have most of August to get courses in to the school. Take your time get a course done and send it in. It only take a day for TESU to get ACE Transcripts so you shouldn't be worried its not like sending a CC transcript via snail mail and waiting 3weeks for TESU to say they got it.

Thank you! Just what I needed.
Does anyone know how long it takes between the time I pay for the residency waiver fee and when I will be able to fill out graduation application? Paid earlier today, just wondering if I need to call someone to open it for me.

You can apply for graduation immediately if you wish, it won't be a problem. In fact, you should do so. Imagine if TESU has a computer outage this weekend?
