Cheap Microsoft Office Specialist Certification - Toastmaster - 07-31-2017

Hi!  I was looking into getting "Microsoft Certified" for Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to use as resume filler along with my coming degree.  However, the test cost for each of these certs is at least $96!!!!  So, $288 just to say I can use apps that I've used my entire life Big Grin .

Does anyone know of any good, cheap, alternatives other than "Microsoft" brand certification for those apps?   Thanks for your help!

https://www.elearnexcel.com/ This place has a $24/month subscription and they are CPD certified. Unlimited access, 7 Excel certifications.

https://www.goskills.com/Courses/Microsoft-Office This site is $29/month with unlimited access to all courses/certifications. I couldn't find info on who they are certified by, though. EDIT: They are CPD certified as well: https://www.goskills.com/Accreditations

I don't know much about certifiers, so I don't know if "CPD UK" is as great for us in the US?

I suppose they're not as great as Microsoft Official certification, I'm planning to get em just because they're better than none.

What degree? What job? This could be a waste of money.

If you're going to spend money on a certification, you should make sure it's recognized. Microsoft is probably the only one that is truly recognized. If you just want to show some sort of verification, then Alison and some MOOC providers provide free certificates of completion.

Edit: Alison has a specific list of courses that have free certificates of completion.

Good idea! Yeah, I really don't care about them being "Microsoft" per se *though before the stick shock, that would have been great!"

Any old Cert should do, something that can be "verified" at "such and such" website, it doesn't matter. Mooc's would be great! Hope there's something out there form Office 2016...for some reason my company made the jump and that's what we are running now, lol! Thanks for everyone's help!
