No cost to apply to Excelsior (EC) if... - allvia - 01-14-2018

I see many posts here that reference how expensive it is to apply to all the "Big 3".  I wanted to point out something I learned recently by sharing that applying to Excelsior College (aka EC) is free for many of the participants here on the forum (free to apply).  They offer many different participation partners, two of them being Straighterline (SL) and Study.com. If you have completed two or more courses through either one of these EC partners there is no application fee.

Great post.   The Big 3 are inexpensive, not expensive.

If you don't mind me asking - how is it free for many of the users on here? Would it be because many are SL or study.com user? Just curious because i've never gained credit through either of those providers.

Right, many (but not all) members here use those services, so it would be free for them to apply.
