Most DSST practice tests are gone! - dfrecore - 02-12-2018
So San Diego County Library system has a section for Testing & Education Reference Center via Peterson's. Obviously, they've contracted with Peterson's to make this available, and I'm guessing part of that is our large military population. Anyway, the CLEP section has most of the exams available, and you get 3 full-length practice exams for each one (missing French & German that I can see).
They used to have a bunch for DSST, but now, they only have 5! Computing, Ethics in America, MIS, Supervision, & Substance Abuse.
If anyone has access to a different library system with DSST practice tests, and they can look and see if there are more than 5 tests on there, I would love to know. I want to see if there's something strange with Peterson's, or if my library did something odd (they recently updated this portion of the site).
THEN: I went onto the DSST website to look at practice tests there, and the $5 ones are no longer available. You must be a member of the military or DoD to gain access to the practice test portion now.
I'm not understanding why they would make this difficult for the general public to be able to take these tests? Any ideas?

I couldn't figure out how to take a practice test a few months ago (for Money & Banking). I called and was told it was available through the website, but I doubt it was. I never checked my library.
That's too bad if the general public can't take them online.

Of course the prices are now $20 each instead of $5.
AND, there are only practice exams for 21/36 of the exams. Strange that they can't make practice exams for some of their OWN exams!!

Which test are you going for?
I'm doing some research, and looking for a friend. I just want to know what the studying options are from Peterson's directly.
