What % do I need to pass a Shmoop course?

70% or higher overall grade.  You must take every unit exam and the final exam.

It also may be worth noting that Shmoop only gives you a (meaningless) certificate of completion whenever you get a 70 or higher on the final.
But yeah, just a 70 or higher overall, request the course you finished to be added to your ACE transcript, and Shmoop'll approve it relatively quickly

Ummm...what did you want from them instead?  The other course providers we use here may or may not even give you a "meaningless" certificate, but they all give you college credit for a good price - I'm not sure what more you want?

I wasn't saying anything like that, just that it might be less obvious that you actually finished it unless you get the notification that you got the certificate. I put meaningless in parentheses to say that it shouldn't be worried about but was typing hastily at work and didn't really clarify. I wasn't trying to be negative. Sorry for the confusion

I don't think you have to get 70% on the final, just overall as first person mentioned. In one class I had a 50 something on one of the tests and passed. And you'll get an email right away about the certificate.

It's 70% or higher overall for course completion and ACE credit. But a 70% or higher on the final to get the certificate, but the certificate doesn't matter

I think you're undervaluing the shmoop certificate. It is by far my most favorite certificate I've received from any organization.

Something about Belle the labradoodle signing my completion gives a real legitimacy to my efforts that the US govt could never compare to.
