Peterson’s Practice Tests Questions - acamp - 03-02-2018
Good morning,
If I pass the Peterson’s practice tests for CLEP college mathematics, would you say those are as hard or harder than the actual clep?

Generally, the Peterson's tests are as hard or harder than the real exam. If you can get at least 70% correct, then that's a good indicator that you're ready for the real exam. Now, I haven't taken the college mathematics test, but this has been true for the other tests I have taken.

Generally, the Peterson's tests are as hard or harder than the real exam. If you can get at least 70% correct, then that's a good indicator that you're ready for the real exam. Now, I haven't taken the college mathematics test, but this has been true for the other tests I have taken.
Okay great to know. And when you prepare for your CLEPS, do you only use the Peterson’s test or do you use other study materials ? Thank you!

I have actually taken the CLEP College Mathematics test (see my score below) and the Peterson's practice tests, which is why I'm commenting. The Peterson's practice tests for CLEP College Mathematics are nothing like the actual test. The practice test in the Official CLEP Study Guide is very similar to the real test.
I used http://www.testoutofcollegeclasses.com/study-spot/8/College-Mathematics.html to prepare. Great site for that test. If I had brushed up on imaginary numbers, I probably would have made a perfect score.

I was scoring low 60s on the Peterson practice tests for US history I and II. I scored 77 on the actual clep for US history I and 72 for II. So the practice tests were much harder for that exam. Shoot for 70% and you should be fine.

I used Peterson's, REA practice tests, and the official CLEP book; definitely use the official CLEP book! Sometimes I have seen questions on the real test that were in the book.

The original poster is asking about the Peterson's test for CLEP College Mathematics. If you haven't take the actual College Mathematics test, you shouldn't generalize your experiences from other subjects. I recommend the Peterson's practice tests for other subjects, not College Mathematics.
