Hi! Yesterday I took the multiple choice portion of the CLEP test, but my school said that they also require an essay portion, but that they couldn’t give me any info on it. Has anyone else had to do a govt essay? Any suggestions or advice? Possible topics?

I don't think there's an essay for Am Gov't. I've never heard of that in about 7 years on this forum.

If your school is asking for an essay, it's probably an essay that THEY CREATED and add to the CLEP because there is no official govt essay, however, I have heard of schools doing this (Liberty University student posted a similar question recently). You need to go back to your testing center and ask who the creator of the essay is, and that's how you'll find out where/if there is study material available.
BTW I love the arrogant, self-centered, high-horse, sage on the stage approach to education as much as I love getting a root canal. My money says you have no chance of passing that essay based on the simple fact that it was created for you to fail by a teacher that is probably asking questions only answerable from attending his/her lectures in person. Departmental challenge exams are designed to fail the student.
