Your exam should be pretty similar to the practice questions. Have you done studying outside of MS already? Past knowledge/coursework?

I'd say I'm generally pretty knowledgeable when it comes to literature, but I felt exceptionally rusty on the MS course and found myself using the generous second tries (and third tries a couple times). I've taken all the Shmoop lit courses except for the intro/foundations ones and American lit. But I've also read many of the books people say are on the test. It's probably test anxiety talking but I feel like I'm just needing a good way to brush up and remember key details, so I'm using "Captain Cram's Condensed Audio Course for Use with the American Literature CLEP Exam" as well as Study.com quizzes/practice tests

I've used modern states and passed 8 CLEP so far all at no cost, 5 in May alone. its not too difficult if you apply yourself. I've found using the CLEP study Sample final exams from Study.com have been more than enough to pass each test.

I've received 6 vouchers from them and passed all 6 Clep tests using their courses in combination with InstantCert. Modern States is awesome!

I did mine in a day after procrastinating on it for a month or so. You can spend as little or as much time as you want on them really. If the goal is to rush through it for the voucher, I'm sure you could. But it's a nice study tool if you take time to absorb all the information

Is it? For CLEP, I thought the pass mark was equivalent to a 70 (C-). I'm not sure, but I believe many schools will consider a low pass to be like a C/C-.

I believe a 50 on a CLEP is benchmarked to a 70 in an ordinary class. I've experienced the same thing with CLEPs. During the test, I feel like I'm going to fail, and then I end up with a 60+.
MS has been great. I've completed 4 courses so far and I've got vouchers for 2 more that I won't be taking until after this Summer semester is over. I just got my first reimbursement check from them as well. Their original program announcement said they would be offering 10,000 vouchers, and my last voucher was number 62xx, so they probably have a while before they run out of vouchers.

I took A&I Lit without studying, but I would need to study for American Lit. I took English Lit and studied, and I think American would be harder for me. English has a lot of analyzing.
