Physical Education and Health Courses? - acamp - 09-14-2018

Good evening all,
Does anyone know if any of the course providers offer any Physical Education and Health courses? Below is what the state requires in regards to the specifics of the coursework needed:

“Current regulations for Health & Physical Education certification require that applicants complete a minimum of 30 credits in a coherent sequence in either Health or Physical education. A coherent sequence requires that at least 12 credits are completed at the advanced level of study (junior, senior or graduate level). An additional 15 credits at any level must be completed in the ancillary subject matter. Within the Physical Education credits, study in team, dual, and individual sports must be completed. Please provide a course description if a course is not taken from the Health or Physical Education Department. Related courses may be accepted depending on the course description/content. Courses in pedagogy/education are not accepted towards the subject matter preparation. “

Based on that, do you think those courses required could be tested out via the multiple providers? And if so, anyone know which ones?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for all those links. I looked at all of them but I can’t find out which courses actually award credit? I saw one where you do 15 hours and it’s awarded 1 credit?

Any classes on SL or study.com that you think would meet the requirements above?

Would you want to explore this option? I have been thinking of doing some of their Yoga/Mindfulness courses. But I am trying to understand if they offer courses individually or only as a package.

Eriehiker, Supermind, and Sanantone - thank you for your time and for the responses.

I viewed all the links but with those courses under each website I don’t think I could acquire the mandated coursework online through those providers.

Does anyone know the name of the VERY inexpensive community college (for out of state tuition) that people talk about on here? Maybe there u think?

The New Mexico junior colleges such as NMJC and Clovis?

This will be more expensive, but Weber State University has a few physical education courses and many health courses.

You know what? I forgot about the online graduate credits for teachers.
