FHSU vs NAU - armstrongsubero - 10-19-2018

I was just wondering which school has the better reputation? Im thinking of forgetting an Undegrad in CS and just doing a masters in IT, CS or IS.

I was thinking about Fort Hays MLS with a concentration in Information Systems or Nothern Arizona U competency program in MCIT.

I'm not from the US so I was thinking which school has the better reputation?

Any other masters in the 6k - 8k price range in computing?

FHSU also has a MPS with a lot of tech concentrations as well:

I would think NAU, but I'm from AZ. I do know that NAU has a well ranked PA program, but I don't follow them too much.

I don't think either one of them has a particularly strong reputation, outside of the areas they serve. That doesn't mean anything (it's not BAD), but most people won't have heard of either of them unless you're near them.

BTW-we have thousands of perfectly good colleges here in the US that no one has ever heard of. It's a big country.

Georgia Tech OMSCS comes in at $7-8,000. Need to have a strong CS background. Top 5 school.

NAU would be quicker (for some people).

Georgia Tech is an amazing deal.

I know but I am afraid my formal CS background dosent meet what they want.

I think I'll do NAU.

Don't sell yourself short Armstrong Subaru. It doesn't hurt to apply. The minimum requirements for admissions don't seem too bad.

If you have the money, you can apply to University of Texas ($10k, top 10 in CS), Georgia Tech, and UPenn. Rochester Institute of Technology has a cybersecurity program that awards transfer credits for MOOCs, but I can't remember the cost.
