TESU Quantitative Literacy - tobyisking - 11-24-2018

I need to fulfill the Quantitative Literacy portion of my TESU BSBA Marketing degree. Aleks is kicking my butt in college algebra. Does anyone have any suggestions of what they took to fulfill this portion of their degree?

Thanks!

I took ALEKS MAT-115 Intermediate Algebra but I'm sure there are other math classes.

Unfortunately, intermediate algebra through aleks is no longer ace approved.

You have a whole month to pass the course with ALEKS, you need College Algebra and Stats for the BSBA. My suggestion, stick it out with ALEKS until you get to that 70% assessment. There are other options, but again, it'll still be time-consuming and "harder" to complete.

I'm done with Stats, I honestly did not find that to be as difficult as college algebra

I know a lot of people(including myself)advocate for Khan academy to help you learn math subjects for free but I recently(yesterday) started using this:
https://schoolyourself.org

I think it is tremendously better than Khan academy. The lessons are simpler, straightforward, engaging and interactive. Obviously everyone's preferences and learning styles are different but I believe it is a great resource, which is also free.

That does look pretty cool. I need to sign up and take a closer look at it. Might be a good way to refresh math knowledge from time to time.

You can take the Study.com course instead, or SL. You can also use ModernStates and then test out of the CLEP exam for free. If it's taking you a long time to pass a course on ALEKS, then the price tag becomes no longer worth it - it's holding you back. Move on to something else!

I asked TESU about it and they said it wouldn't fufill it. I am looking at the Sophia college algebra right now, I have a $150 credit with them, so I might just take it there
