Overlapping Requirements for TESU? - HopefulHobo - 01-25-2019 This may seem fundamental, but I can't find a clear answer on this. Thanks in advance for the help! Would taking Straighterline's Introduction to Psychology count for both my GE Knowledge of Human Cultures requirement AND my required Introduction to Psychology course (two birds with one stone)? Trying to find overlapping classes for my BA in Psychology & GE Requirements. I'm just a tad uncertain on duplication and overlap in general. I'm just beginning my path to a degree and aside from two AP classes from high school, I'm pretty much starting from scratch. On that note, I am assuming based on their site, that it is 6 credits per passed AP test but have yet to confirm it. JSD's Psychology plan has been super helpful as has Sanantone's guide, but combining the two and getting the most bang for my buck is my current hurdle. Linking my current plan for reference (WIP): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mZXzM7UKTV7W-YBj-OjQf9io1xzDOXoR7qcHUops5U4/edit#gid=0 Edit: For TESU's BA in Psychology RE: Overlapping Requirements for TESU? - mysonx3 - 01-25-2019 No, it can only count for one spot per degree RE: Overlapping Requirements for TESU? - HopefulHobo - 01-26-2019 (01-25-2019, 11:52 PM)mysonx3 Wrote: No, it can only count for one spot per degree Ah I see, and I'd assume it counts for the degree requirement before it counts for GE so I need to find another GE class for the credits. Thank you thank you! RE: Overlapping Requirements for TESU? - mysonx3 - 01-26-2019 One I recommend for Knowledge of Human Cultures (which is a very broad category, so there are a lot of options) is Sophia.org's Ancient Greek Philosophers. It's unproctored and I was able to get through it in about an hour. If you sign up through phoenix.sophia.org and use the code PHOENIXHALF it only costs you $75 RE: Overlapping Requirements for TESU? - MNomadic - 01-26-2019 (01-26-2019, 12:24 AM)mysonx3 Wrote: One I recommend for Knowledge of Human Cultures (which is a very broad category, so there are a lot of options) is Sophia.org's Ancient Greek Philosophers. RE: Overlapping Requirements for TESU? - dfrecore - 01-26-2019 TESU doesn't allow you to "double-dip" meaning something can't count in more than 1 category. I was struggling to pick something there so I'll go with this, it's comparable to StraighterLine and sounds easier/quicker. Thank you! |
