onlinedegree.com finals - natshar - 02-11-2019

I just finished onlinedegree.com's Microeconomics course except for the final. I've got some questions regarding the final exam.

1.) What percent do I need on the final to pass the course? I have no idea how I did on the quizzes I will say it was not that great. I don't think I got 100% on any of the quizzes. Is there any way to view your quiz scores so you can calculate this. It also says the lowest two quiz scores are dropped in the syllabus as well.

2.) What is the final exam like? Multiple choice? Short answer? Length? Specifically for this course but also for any onlinedegree course? Does it draw from the text? videos? something else?

I know I have a lot of questions, but after doing poorly on the quizzes I need to make sure I'm prepared for the final. I know it's only $9 but I don't want to pay again to retake it.

For the courses I did, the final was multiple choice and very similar to(if not the same as) the quiz questions. I found the questions are almost exclusively from the primary lecture videos. I recommend people write down their quiz scores so they can calculate and track their grade. Also wouldn't hurt to take notes on the quizzes so you can verify what the answer should be and study for the final.

Hope you don't mind if I jump in and ask a few related questions. How many questions on the quizzes? How many on the Final? Are they timed?

The quizzes are 5-7 questions and not timed as in I don't believe there is a time limit, but at the end, they tell you how long it took you, (5:47). They only tell you your score (ex. 5 out of 7) and not any specific answers or even which ones you got right or wrong.

I didn't take the final so I can only speak for the quizzes.

Thanks. One more - I forgot to ask if the quizzes and exam are open book/resource?

2. For the Pschology class there were 50 multiple choice questions. 1.5 hours to finish. Questions are based on the main videos (not the extra YouTube ones). It is closed book/notes.

RE: onlinedegree.com finals - Ideas - 02-12-2019

For one course I started, I believe quiz questions came from the additional videos too. But for the others, the questions were from the main videos.

RE: onlinedegree.com finals - MNomadic - 02-12-2019

The robotics course had a 44 question final. I think the other one I did was 50 questions. Finals are closed book/note. Quizzes are 5-7 questions and open note(I actually asked them and they said it was open note, not that they could enforce it anyway.

There was a way to get my son's quiz scores - I don't have access at this minute, but I'm 99% sure I made a post about it or at least shared in a thread. Sorry- if you search my posts you might find it- don't go back longer than 6 months.
