Chemistry CLEP Exam Scoring - JohnnyHeck - 03-22-2019

1.The Test is 75 questions. Does a passing score of 50 mean I got 50 right or is there some kind of curve scale?

2. If I get 100% of the questions correct that I know from a Chem I course, what percentage of questions will I need to get correct from the Chem 2 curricula
Eg. If say 35 questions can be answered with Chem 1 knowledge, does this imply that my Chem 2 knowledge only has to get 15 correct answers out of the 40 remaining?

Your score does not equate to the number of correct answers you gave. No one knows what percentage correct is required for what score on a CLEP - it's kept classified. As such, we can't answer your second question either.

The second question leads me to believe that you're also wondering if you get X correct will your school give you partial credit (Chem 1 vs Chem 1 & 2), and while it's not impossible, I've never heard of that happening. If you get a 50 you get whatever your school awards- if you get a 49 you probably get nothing.
