Newbie TESU question - Kalopsia - 06-17-2019

So, once I get accepted into TESU, I'm locked into the current catalog, including current SDC transfer equivalencies, correct?

Yes to the catalog, no to the transfer equivalencies. Those are not part of the catalog.

Except that sometimes if you've gotten advising to plan a particular transfer course into your evaluation or to send you an email with a particular equivalency, you can get them to honor it if they suddenly change it on you. Several people squeezed in Shmoop courses right after TESU stopped accepting them because they had already planned them in and were already taking them.

But you can't get courses planned in and then wait 8 months to take them and think it will still be honored. There's a time limit to it, I'm not certain what that is, but it got sprung on someone recently here - they had courses planned in, then didn't take them for a long time, and the course equivalencies changed, and they wanted TESU to honor it, but TESU would not.

So plan away, but just know that you should be willing to change as things change in this regards.

Didn't TESU recently begin refusing to plan ACE/NCCRS courses? I feel like I read that on here in the last couple months. Did I misunderstand/misremember?

I think it depends on who you get; I've heard people say they've gotten things planned recently, and I've heard people who say TESU wouldn't plan in courses at all.
