DSST Fundamentals of Counseling - libartsmgr - 04-26-2006

If anyone has taken this one already, I'd really appreciate any feedback. I'm planning this one for next week and would really like to hear other's thoughts on it. I'm hoping it's not more difficult than it seems.
To date, there doesn't seem to be any discussion around this exam other than a couple mentions of intending to take it.

Thanks!

So, it seems that no one has taken this one. I'll be sure to post my post-test feedback when I'm done. It should be fairly easy.

I haven't taken this one, but I'll be taking it in about 3 weeks. On bain4weeks.com, the author rated this one a level 2 difficulty (1 being easiest, 5 hardest). So it seems quite easy, I'm not too worried about it. Wink

Hi libartsmgr,

I'm sorry! I haven't taken this exam or I would surely have responded to your call for help. I do need to take this exam at some point, but I haven't got to it yet.

I seem to recall others saying that it is a pretty straightforward exam and that Instantcert is sufficient to pass. However, I have no personal experience with which to back up that statement.

Best of luck to you,
Snazzlefrag

Cool, Ana, thanks. Good to see that it's known for being easy. I'm getting so close to finishing, I don't want any suprises. Big Grin

To be honest, I'm more stressed about my ECE's than anything else. But at least I'll have the score immediately.

I haven't gotten much feedback on this test, but what I have heard is--it's a lot more scenario oriented than our materials are. Most people pass, but for a lot of them it's pretty tight. I'd say get the sample tests from getcollegecredit.com; those should give you enough of a point boost to take the test with confidence.

Good luck and looking forward to your report!

Thanks y'all. I'm taking it Wed so look for my feedback post either Wed night or Thurs.
I took DSST's practice test before looking at anything on IC and I got about 60%. Pretty encouraging.
I'll let ya know Smile

Go Spurs Go!!

Serengetti,
Did you use InstaCert? What about it was harder than expected?

If you don't mind, post your thoughts about it - what you think someone should really know, what's on it that's not on IC, or any other insights you have about it. It would be incredibly helpful - I know a bunch more of us are planning to take it in the near future. And, of course, you can count on everyone on the boards to give you any feedback on exams anyone has already done. Thanks!!

Yes! Count me amongst them.

This exam is on my to-do list, but there is very little feedback anywhere regarding this particular exam.

Serengetti, ANY feedback, insights, or opinions you, or anyone else, can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
