English Courses at Saylor Academy to WGU - nosideedison - 11-22-2019

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if anyone have successfully transferred ENGL001, ENGL002, COMM001-101, ENGL210 from Saylor Academy to WGU
Based on the partner equivalency on the link provided below:
https://partners.wgu.edu/Pages/Single.aspx?aid=15769&pid=82
English Composition I is equivalent to Saylor - ENGL001
English Composition II is equivalent to Saylor - ENGL002
Introduction to Communication is equivalent to Saylor - COMM001, COMM101
Technical Communication is equivalent to Saylor - ENGL210

To my understanding all of the English courses at Saylor have no ACE accreditation. But I am just curious as to why this is transferable to WGU.

I would also send this inquiry to my Enrollment Counselor.

Ok, i guess I'll clear this issue up for you and whoever else this can help. The first thing is, SAYLOR ACADEMY does have ACE credit recommendations for English Composition 1 and for the  Technical Communication course. They also have recomendations for 3 additional courses. The thing is, SAYLOR hasn't officially told the student community nor have they listed the recomendations on their website. The reason for this is they are planning to share the good news until after the holidays ( I believe they are waiting until the Christmas holiday). However,  if you visit the ACE website and find SAYLOR ACADEMY. You can see all of the courses that have a credit recommendation including the new courses that SAYLOR hasn't told us about.

I posted about the new courses at Saylor a month and a half ago, here is the thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Saylor-8-New-courses-switch-to-ACE-as-of-6-1-19

Thanks for the feedback.
I sent questions regarding Saylor English courses to the Transcript Evaluation at WGU. I cited their transfer link at https://partners.wgu.edu/Pages/Single.aspx?aid=15769&pid=82

Regardless of my well detailed email. To my surprise, they dodge the question about Saylor and referred me instead to Study.com and Straighterline courses.

I think the only way to find out is sending Saylor transcript or ACE transcripts with their English courses. But I wont waste my time doing that.

I think I would just take it at Straighterline, I know from what I read here in the forums, English 101 and 102 is better at SDC but since Straighterline is very good with discounts/coupon. I can take the two courses almost half the price at SDC.
