WGU Cybersecurity Scholarship. - ChilliDawg - 12-08-2019

I am 6 days into my first term with WGU in the MSCSIA program.  I was pleased to open an email last night awarding me the WGU Cybersecurity Scholarship that I applied for.  Unfortunately, it is $5000 for 4 terms, divided equally among terms.  I do not plan on being there that long, but it will certainly help. If I can complete in the two terms that I planned, it will be a $2500 savings, and that is nothing to balk at, especially with their tuition fairly low to begin with.   So far, I have passed ever pre-assessment for every course.  I think I will move through the program quickly, earn that first Masters and then move on to my local college, Embry-Riddle for their Aviation Cybersecurity grad program.

Definitely, thanks to this group for the pointers and guidance along the way.

Congrats!

Wow, I haven't seen a $5,000 scholarship from WGU before. They awarded me a $2,000 scholarship for my MBA, but it was also split between 4 terms, so it really only came out to a $500 tuition discount in my case since I managed to complete my degree program in a single term. Still, I appreciated the discount. Smile

Hey Congrats! Which scholarship was this? I recall most of their scholarships was just $2000 for 4 terms, you hit the "jackpot" with the $5000 scholarship! Even in two terms, you save more than most people who get the $2000 scholarship!

Thank you.  Here is the link to the page with details on the Scholarship.  The last sentence in the third paragraph says that it is worth up to $5000.  My award letter says that I was given all $5000.  I applied for a few different ones, and this is the only one that I heard back on......I just accepted the terms of the Scholarship this morning.  Way more exciting than the Guardian Scholarship from Study that i was awarded, but they are all greatly appreciated.
