SDC Assignments - Mitmike2019 - 01-16-2020

Hello forum, so I just completed all quizzes and proctored exam and my total score is above 70. Can I skip the writing assignments and still pass?

No you cannot

What is your total score? You could consider handing in an empty document if you insist, maybe it will be accepted.

I recall, for Study.com there are three components, quizzes, final exam, assignments and you need to have 210 out of 300 to pass - Your total score can't be above 70% if you finish the quizzes 33.3% (100) and final exam 33.3% (100), the assignments are worth 33.3% (100) of the grade.

If there are more than one assignment, you can just complete the one with the most amount out of 100 and leave the other assignments with a document indicating you're not turning it in for grades as you have passed the course. If the course only has one assignment, then that means you have to put in a little bit of effort just to finish the assignment and get it graded.

bjecheung77 is right, if you scored 100% on both quizzes and the final, you still need to score at least 10/100 on the assignments.

So when I finished my quizzes, I saw a note next to the proctor exam tab that said that In order to pass i needed a total of 55 points combined from the exam and assignments. I score way over 55 on my exam so I thought I could pull an fast one and skip the writing portion ... The assignments are quite simple.... I can knock them out in a weeked with my buddy Jack... Jack Daniel's that is..  Big Grin

Just wanted to note that a LL course has different requirements. It also requires 210/300 to pass, but has only quizzes (100) and the final (200). So if you'd score 100/100 on quizzes you'd need 110/200 on the final (55%).

I felt like they were pretty generous with their grading of assignments. I wouldn't spend too much time on them since you don't need to score that high, unless you want the practice/ to learn.
