TESU Information Literacy - equivalent course? - TroopsterX - 01-18-2020

Hey guys,

Which course can replace TESU's Information Literacy requirement?

Thanks

the SOS-110? Nothing if you are in the 2019 catalog or after unless I think you were continually enrolled since before they made it a requirement. You have to take that and the capstone at TESU.

I thought I had to take TES-100 for cornerstone. Just to make sure - SOS-110 is considered as new cornerstone? Thanks

Yes, you must take SOS-110 and the capstone at TESU. It's a 3 credit course and it's not hard at all. It was an annoyance taking it and the capstone during the same couple of months.

Hey TrooperX, I highly recommend taking the Cornerstone/Capstone together especially if you are going to use Financial Aid or tuition assistance.

Further to that, you should do the cornerstone/capstone last, just in case things come about and you want to do a different degree, or change schools, family, issues arise, etc.

As Dfrecore and I stated in the previous thread, you may want to review it: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Question-about-TESU-evaluation-transcript?pid=301721#pid301721

Duly noted. Thank you!

Thanks again! You guys rock! I will follow this path in exact way as you suggested. I'll take cornerstone/capstone last.

You're welcome - I can provide you examples of capstones that my mentor gave me if yours doesn't give them out when you take the class. Just PM me with your email and I can send over.

Is the information literacy course part of the associate portion or the bachelors?

If one locks the catalog with a completed associate, do you have to retake it as SOS110 when you apply later for a bachelo?

I know it costs more but right now I am looking at associate only.
