CISSP given equal status as a master's degree in Europe - MNomadic - 05-12-2020

I didn't realize this before but the certs(including CISSP) from ISC2 are ACE recommended:

Nice news, especially since I have a CISSP, but UK is a bit unique matching industry certs to academic equivalents. They matched the CFA to level 7 (Masters) years ago.

the CISSP being equivalent to a masters is pretty damn sad.

meanwhile, ACE only equates it to 2 lower-level undergrad credit hours, lol

Looks like ACE has two entries for CISSP (CISSP - 2 credits, CISSP Exam - 3 credits). not sure if they're differentiating between training and actual certification or what.

That's a very hard test to pass, you need years of experience even to take it - and then you only get 3cr UL!  Yikes!

Actually you don't need the experience to take the exam. If you don't have the 5 years needed but pass the exam, you just won't be considered a CISSP, but an Associate of (ISC)² instead.

Perhaps this is why it has two separate entries?
