Kindly help me with my degree - Ismail - 07-01-2020 Hello everyone, Good day everyone. I enrolled to EC in 2018. Due to some reasons I couldn't continue my study there and now I need to re-active my status. Previously I only needed 3 credits capstone course for Bs in Liberal Arts. I completed my information literacy too from cooper smith career council. they accepted it. However, now I think i would need to complete 7 credits from EC as I am re-enrolling. I won't mind for any degree as long as I con complete is asap. If anyone suggest me a degree from any big 3 colleges would be really helpful. 1.ALEKS CORPORATION COLLEGE ALGEBRA INTRODUCTION TO STATISTICS 2.COOPERSMITH CAREER CONSULTING, LLC LITERACY DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR HISTORY AND SYSTEMS OF PSYCHOLOGY CLINICAL EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY II CLINICAL EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY I INFORMATION LITERACY A SOCIAL HISTORY OF JEWISH FOOD ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY MEDIEVAL HISPANO-JEWISH POETRY PHYSIOLOGICAL PSYCHOLOGY 3.STRAIGHTERLINE About 13-15 courses of straighterline I really need to finish my degree asap. Any degree would help me with my career. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you RE: Kindly help me with my degree - ss20ts - 07-01-2020 EC requires Information Literacy to be taken through them. Sounds like you left EC so now you're kind of starting over. You'll be subject to their current requirements. You also are required to take the Cornerstone and Capstone courses through EC. You need to look at the EC catalog and see what the requirements are for the degree you want. You list StraighterLine courses but not which ones. Right now, Sophia.org has free courses until July 31st. I'd get started on there and get through as much as I can. Based on what you shared, you need a lot of gen ed including English, science, maybe more math, humanities, social sciences, and history. Do you still have access to your online account at Excelsior? You need a specific amount of UL coursework. https://www.excelsior.edu/program/bachelor-of-science-online-liberal-arts-degree/ RE: Kindly help me with my degree - Ismail - 07-01-2020 I meet almost all general education requirements. Also, upper level requirements too( from my previous evaluation) I only needed few gd course course and capstone. Maybe I missed that opportunity
RE: Kindly help me with my degree - bjcheung77 - 07-01-2020 Hi Ismail, I'm not sure if I read that correctly, but did the initial evaluation indicate you only had the capstone to do? And have you reapplied to EC to get another evaluation? It's confusing how you can get from just one course to needing a few more general education courses, do you mean you just need to take the Capstone and one or more course? Does it indicate what you need? From reading that list above, you have 30 courses or so at most. RE: Kindly help me with my degree - dfrecore - 07-02-2020 I would get a new eval and make sure that you have all of your UL, and see what is still needed - we can then tell you what you'll need to do to complete those requirements. Therefore, once a student is given access to the study materials, the student may take or complete the course assessment(s) at the time of the student’s choosing. However, students should note that Coopersmith reserves the right to adjust or supplement the study materials or assessments for any course at any time. If a course’s study materials are updated while a student is studying for a course or examination, the student shall, upon request, be provided with the updated study materials at no additional cost. It is the student’s responsibility to inquire as to whether a course has been updated between the time that the student initially received the study materials and the time at which he or she takes the final examination. While Coopersmith places no time limits on studying for an examination records, Coopersmith may limit the amount of time students are afforded to complete the assessments in a course with more than one assessment. For example, if a course requires three research papers and a final examination, Coopersmith may prescribe that all essays and the final examination must be done within a three-month window commencing with the submission of the student's initial assignment. Any such time window limitation shall appear in the course syllabus. Are you asking and answering your own question? If you're responding to the OP, I don't think he'll see your posts. He posted here exactly twice, both on the same day (7-1-2020) within an hour, and hasn't been seen since. |
