What is your plan B? Does it have to be COSC? Do you have tuition assistance or reimbursement?

RE: COSC UL and RA - Ann7 - 10-29-2020

Yes it needs to be COSC because I have no tuition assistance or reimbursement. This is the cheapest route for me.
I am thinking of the Uexcel Spanish test for RA credit (6 credits) and then whatever the easiest Uexcel test I can take for another 3 RA credits. ( maybe World Population? It's Upper level credit too for cheap).
It looks like from COSC website that the Teceps, Uexcels, and NYU language exams are all in the RA credit category , but from other posts here it looks like the Uexcels are truly accepted as RA credit.
I have 16 RA credits now from the ASU deal (one was Astronomy with lab to cover that requirement) and doing Sophia courses.
I'm planning for a Liberal Arts or Individualized study bachelors degree. ( SDC Psych classes paired with?? Not sure)
Thanks for any help!

Has anyone tried the TEL Learning courses at $67/cr? They also have 3 science labs that are online, so no extra costs besides the course price, which is nice. The courses come in on a transcript from an RA school, so they come in as RA. They are self-paced, and you can start when you want, so they are a really good option for some people. My kids will be doing these over winter break (my college kid has 6 full weeks off of school, plenty of time to finish at least 1 course).

I've been looking hard at Tel Learning, and they seem to have a lot going for them, as you've pointed out.

So far, the only downside I can see is that they have two proctored exams per course, rather than one as seems to be the case with ASU.  Unfortunately, I'm trying to help a relative with anxiety disorder, for whom the idea of electronic proctoring causes anxiety.  For someone who only needs a handful of RA courses (and has tried ASU EA and liked it), I wonder if it might be better to wait and take one ASU course each in January and March.

For myself, I would just as soon try Tel Learning.  Seems like an excellent value, and I think the two proctored exams is a more than fair trade-off for self-paced delivery.  Plus there's a coupon code floating around for them as well.

I am not certain that we've got a final report on here about UExcel's (or TECEP's) counting as RA credit.  Can you show me where it was reported that this is true?

Specifically, the top of page 2 seemed most clear as you read through the thread...

So the Tel biology lab has two procotored exams? Anders 13 assigments and one report?

RE: COSC UL and RA - Ann7 - 11-17-2020

Has anyone recently enrolled and confirmed acceptance of Uexcel, Teceps or NYU language test for RA credit at COSC?

RE: COSC UL and RA - bnm - 12-23-2020

You have to be careful now with COSC, they no longer accept many of the courses they did as recently as 2019. ACE is a no-go.
