Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - jsh1138 - 08-31-2020 Usually they do them quarterly, like Jan then March/April, then June-ish and then Sept. Has anyone heard anything about new ones coming out in Sept this year? RE: Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - LevelUP - 08-31-2020 Do search for college ed level/subjects all/goals all that pulls up courses that haven't been ace approved that are college courses. 222 total approved credit courses, 60 courses that could be approved that I listed below Accounting 304: Advanced Accounting II Accounting 305: Auditing & Assurance Services Anthropology 101: General Anthropology Anthropology 102: Cultural Anthropology Art 101: Art of the Western World Biology 104: Bioethics Biology 106: Pathophysiology Biology 201: Anatomy & Physiology I Biology 202: Anatomy & Physiology II Biology 301: Evolutionary Biology Business 112: Operations Management Business 116: Quantitative Analysis Business 201: Customer Service Business 204: Visual Merchandising Theory & Practice Business 205: International Retailing Strategy & Operations Business 301: Change Management Business 316: Strategic Decision Making Business 320: Advanced International Business Business 328: Retail Innovation Business 329: Retail Operations Business Intelligence 101: Intro to Business Intelligence Chemistry 303: Organic Chemistry I Chemistry 304: Organic Chemistry II College 101: College Readiness Communications 103 Communications 104 Communications 105: Intro to Mass Communications II Communications 106: Communication in the Digital Age Communications 302: The History of Human Language Computer Science 322: Windows Server Configuration Counseling 101: Fundamentals of Counseling Criminal Justice 103: Public Policy & Criminal Justice Criminal Justice 307: Advanced Criminal Law Drama 101: Intro to Dramatic Art Earth Science 102: Weather and Climate Earth Science 105: Introduction to Oceanography Education 102: Literacy Instruction in the Elementary School Education 212: Approaches to Teaching Reading Email Marketing 101: Intro to Email Marketing English 305: Advanced Technical Writing Evolution 101: Intro to Evolution Government 101: Intro to Government Health 102: Substance Abuse History 107: World Conflicts Since 1900 History 109: Western Europe Since 1945 History 112: World History I History 309: War & American Society Hospitality 305: Event, Conference & Meeting Management Hospitality 306: Revenue Generation for Hospitality Human Resources 101: Intro to Human Resources Humanities 201: Critical Thinking & Analysis Marketing 102: Intro to Digital Marketing Math 106: Contemporary Math Microbiology 101: Intro to Microbiology Music 101: Intro to Music Nursing 101: Fundamentals of Nursing Psychology 314: Psychology of Learning Public Relations 101: Intro to Public Relations Sociology 104: World Population Statistics 202: Calculus-Based Probability & Statistics Not sure when these will be approved for credit. I would personally like to see a Javascript and Website fundamentals course & some more UL computer science options. RE: Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - Cofffeee - 08-31-2020 Yes and maybe some extra UL math courses- would be great addition Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - Lacedonia4 - 08-31-2020 I also noticed the 'customize course' feature on study.com What is the best way to use it? Is it just a learning tool or you can actually get credit for it? RE: Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - SDO - 08-31-2020 Some of the courses listed above may be approved by NCCRS instead of ACE RE: Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - Cofffeee - 08-31-2020 (08-31-2020, 07:00 PM)Lacedonia4 Wrote: I also noticed the 'customize course' feature on study.com What is the best way to use it? I could use that UL Psych course too RE: Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - bjcheung77 - 08-31-2020 The list above shows a few courses that are ACE recommended for credit for a while now, most of the courses are correctly displaying as the majority are not yet ace recommended yet. An example of one that is already recommended is BIO 106. Another example is ENG 305. Then, Last but not least - there's HIS 309 as well. I noticed they have a course that's added into ACE Analytics 103 - Intro to Relational Databases & SQL , hopefully that can come in as a computer science course, otherwise, it'll still be useful for CIS, either way, it'll be good prep for CIS/CS majors. I love Study.com as they're coming out with newer courses, hopefully they get recommendation for credit soon! RE: Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - tallpilot - 08-31-2020 I'd like to see them figure out why TESU won't take their cyber security and a couple other CS courses like Assembly and fix that. RE: Isn't it about time for new Study.com courses? - Cofffeee - 08-31-2020 Agree. It would be less effort to edit course than create new one.also it will benefit a lot of us- many would go for cybersecurity degree if SDC could be transfered |
