Online Masters in Artificial Intelligence - Switzerland - bjcheung77 - 10-29-2020

Hey All, I was looking at a Masters in Artificial Intelligence program and found this one in Switzerland
The program is 3 semesters long (18 months) and at $6000 CHF (roughly $6556 USD)
This seems like an affordable option, letting you all know about the program and decide for yourself.

$6,600 - Master of Science in Machine Learning & AI from Liverpool John Moores University

Personally, if I wanted a degree in ML and AI, I'd go with Liverpool John Moores

It looks like you need to be able to get to Switzerland once a month for exams. So maybe "Short Distance University" would be a better name: https://distanceuniversity.ch/studying-with-us/degree-structure/

What if you take a Master's on ML/AI from a university in India (for the PG Diploma) and top-up from a UK university (for the MSc). You get 2 alumni membership!
It only cost 7499!

Personally, I am enrolling in the PG Diploma right now. I am thinking to upgrade for the MSc. But the university also offers Astrophysics too! https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/study/courses/postgraduates/astrophysics-msc

I am interested in Astrophysics but I don't have a solid understanding of Astronomy and advanced Physics. So I took the course here: https://buyonline.ljmu.ac.uk/product-catalogue/ljmu/distance-learning-courses/astrophysics-research-institute
It may help me to earn admission to the Astrophysics program.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for sharing this. I'm a few years late and the price is up to $9500, but it is just what I'm looking for. I'm heavily considering it now.

Instead of using Upgrad, you can try Coursera or EDX options I mentioned as a reply to your post here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Lowest-Cost-Online-Masters?pid=392763#pid392763

Thanks.

I saw the post about this: https://unidistance.ch/en/mathematics-and-computer-science/master-in-artificial-intelligence/ and am looking into it.

I'm also really considering Liverpool John Moores for their AI MSc because of the tools they include. It seems more "cutting edge" than a lot of programs.

I am also contacting https://degree.astate.edu/programs/ms-applied-digital-tech-ai-machine-learning.aspx today to see about scholarships and potentially an assistantship. If I can get onto their online learning team and it's remote, then I'll probably just do that to help pay for school. It's a bit more at $10.5k but potentially less depending on scholarships.

I did reach out to Upgrad and Liverpool John Moores as well to see if scholarships would be available to US residents. I haven't received a reply but the Upgrad rep said they'll call Monday.

Liverpool John Moores seems like a very interesting school, though, with programs like this:

I have an issue with the A State degree as it's practically half of an MBA but you don't get an MBA. You get an MS in Applied Digital Technology.

John Moores is much more focused on the subject at hand.

I was looking into ENEB as well solely due to the price, but it seems like a rip-off and something that will only hurt my resume. I did read it's transferrable and it's basically a country-approved school, something like California does with schools that don't have any reciprocity with other states. There's several law schools like that.

I'm sure Eastern.edu and UT Austin will be in similar situations as A State as far as scholarships and the like. I have not seen assistantships offered on either website, however, and Eastern is a religious institution. I am a bit concerned about the education not being what I'm looking for, though.
