So this is my plan..... - sydney - 03-31-2008

Ok, I recently had some motivation issues..which you guys were a great help with (thank you very much!) and passed the Intro to Supervision and Org Behavior with flying colors. I am currently preparing for the Human Resouces exam this Friday.

Anyway, I wanted to run my tentative exam schedule past you guys and see what you thought. Basically looking for whether the timing in between seems like it would be enough or too much etc. Typically I get about 2-3 hrs a day (m-f) to study.

Ok, here it goes.
Human Resources - 4/5/08

Business Math DSST on 4/18/08 (2 week prep time)

Sales Mgmt Tecep on approx 5/19/08 (3 1/2 week prep time)

Intro to Bus. Law DSST - approx mid June (3 weeks prep)

Business Policy Tecep - end of July (about 5 wks prep)
I am assuming the Tecep will take approx 6 weeks to receive a grade. This puts me mid Sept. to apply for graduation before my tuition runs out in January.

Unfortunately, this leaves me no room for failing an exam and replacing it
with an online class.

What do you guys think?

Just an FYI on the TECEP scores...I received my last one in under 2 weeks! hilarious

That would be a relief...then I would have time to take the online course if need be.

Did you just respond to me regarding the Sales Mgmt Tecep on the TESC forum?

If so, I just asked you how long you think you studied for that exam.

Rachael

Greetings, If you are good in math then OK. As far as Business law II I hope you are able to dedicate a LOT of time to it during that short period as it is not to be taken lightly.

The exam I am taking isn't Bus Law II, it's the Intro to Business Law.

I thought the Intro Business Law was a CLEP and the DSST one was BUS LAW II.

Sorry, you are very right! It is the Intro to Business Law CLEP that I will be taking.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hi Rachael:

I actually responded to you on the TESC board...here it is:

I think I probably took six weeks to study...about 2-3 hours at least 4 days each week.

Sorry Patty, I don't check the TESC forumn that often. Thanks for responding here too. If I push, I could get 2-3 hrs, 5-6 x a week.
I'll have to wait and see what the book looks like when I get it. I ordered it...should be here in the next couple of weeks.

I took the Advertising Tecep a year or so ago... have you taken that one?
If so, do you think this be on the same difficulty level?

I actually took Advertising at my local community college...at the time it was only slightly more expensive than taking the TECEP and I really wanted to learn about advertising plans and so some hands-on work. It worked out very well for me. I enjoyed the class and working with the others in the class...and I got an A!
