Credit Transfer - gams007 - 12-18-2020 I want to know if course from another institution is equivalent to 4 credits do TESU accept it as 4 credit worth equivalency. example CS 114 Fundamentals of Programming 4 Credit Hours This course provides a guide to developing structured program logic. The course assumes no programming experience and does not focus on any one particular language. It introduces programming concepts and enforces good style and logical thinking. Prerequisite: Student must have completed TS 113E Basic Math equivalent or higher. RE: Credit Transfer - davewill - 12-18-2020 In general, yes. One thing to be aware of is that if the credits were earned on the quarter system, they will be converted to semester credits like this: Quote:https://www.tesu.edu/academics/catalog/transfer-credit#:~:text=3%20quarter%20hours%20%3D%202%20semester,quarter%20hours%20%3D%203.33%20semester%20hours Credit Transfer - rachel83az - 12-18-2020 The only answer is: it depends. Assuming those are semester and not quarter credits, there is a good chance that it will get brought in as 4 credits. Not always, though. I assume that's from NMJC? The course number seems to have changed (and I don't know if the content also has) but TESU has Fundamentals of Programming from NMJC as COS-111 Intro to Programming for 3 credits. RE: Credit Transfer - gams007 - 12-18-2020 Well It seems to be good that most courses NMJC can be used and they requirements for an Associate degree is to finished minimum 15 residency credits. they Offer English 1 & 2 and all the needs for the General education requirement from TESU. RE: Credit Transfer - dfrecore - 12-19-2020 All of the RA courses I transferred into TESU used the credits I earned at the original school (so for instance I took Financial Accounting for 4cr, and TESU brought it in for 4cr). |
