Discussion Forum/Assignment Due Dates Moodle - Toastmaster - 03-06-2021

Hello all!  In all my time here, I just noticed that assignments and discussion forms appear to be due on certain days ***at 10:59 p.m.*** Are assignments really due by 10:59 p.m. (not 11:59 p.m.) or is that just a querk? Asking for a friend haha!

I just went through my course, and I noticed that some things are due at 11:59 pm and others are due at 10:59 p.m. strange.

My sons are in Central Time Zone, and they are getting 10:59 on everything so far.

10:59 is Eastern time,  this is 9:59 pm Central Standard time.  When you click on an assignment, you see the exact days, hours, and minutes till the assignment is due.

I have turned stuff in 1-2 hours late before, haven't got deducted for it yet though each professor can use their own judgment.  Some post the late policy and how much they will deduct for being late.

Ask for an extension if you think you will be late.

It is also ok to turn stuff in early, then you don't have to worry about it.

Got a question about TESU's online courses for anyone who is also a current student. If I was to register for my final courses in one semester a couple of months in advance would I have access to the assignments, discussion questions, etc before the courses officially began? My planned schedule is listed below and thanks in advance.

(1- Cornerstone, 2- Jane Austin, 3-Leaders in History, 4- Leadership in a Global Environment, 5- Practicum, 6-Capstone)

No, you don't get access to anything until a few days before class starts. And you can't register more than about a month and a half in advance, IIRC.

What degree are you going for? What courses are you missing? What is Practicum and which Capstone? I assume you're NOT paying the residency waiver and taking the courses instead. If you are a full time student and not working and/or have nothing to do, practically no life except for studying and completing assignments, you can try it - otherwise, three of your courses are upper level and have lots of writing...
