University of Rome Unitelma Sapienza - durain - 04-15-2021
Noted this Italy University offers the following online Master degree in english:

The cost is pretty low.
I dont have much knowledge about Italy education system.
Can anyone advise whether this university is legit?

The archaeology degree, alas, requires a degree in a "related field". It says "Classics" is a related field; I wonder if an ordinary history degree would work? The others don't require anything beyond just a bachelor's degree.
If you can get to Rome for the exams, they do appear to be a legit university according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Rome_Unitelma_Sapienza However, I queried an Italian acquaintance about the matter. Their advice was to contact Sapienza University of Rome to confirm that the two are actually affiliated and that these are not the Italian equivalent of Titulos Propios. Sapienza University of Rome/Sapienza/University of Rome/La Sapienza is an extremely famous Italian university and is completely legitimate.

My Italian acquaintance got curious and kept looking into this university. Without actually contacting anyone at La Sapienza, they are probably 99% sure that the degrees are legitimate.
The downside is still the exams that need to be taken in Rome itself. But, hey, an Italian vacation sounds pretty cool.

4800 euro + airfare! My Italian acquaintance warned me that it might be tuition & fees per legal year and not necessarily academic years. In this instance, I'm not sure what the difference would be, if any, but it could mean paying additional fees. Even if you wind up paying for 3 years instead of 2 then it's still a very inexpensive degree.

I usually recommend sticking with the Public/State colleges and universities. The only reason I recommend international schools is when you're heading there for vacation or a longer stay. They may provide cheaper education, but their cost of living may be higher if you add things together.

That Master in "International cooperation, finance and development" is even cheaper than the other two. I'm very tempted to throw in and give this a shot. I really like Italy and if my wife gets a trip back to Italy out of the deal, I'm sure I can get her buy-in.

I can't tell without a LOT of digging, but I suspect that is more like a post-grad certificate and is NOT a degree. It is possibly a "Master universitario" or the Italian equivalent of a Titulo propio. If you are interested, I would email and ask if it grants access to 3rd cycle programs

Actually, if you do not have the requisite undergrad to pursue the Archaeology courses, they offer three courses at 50 Euro each to get you qualified for the Master's program. I'm really interested in this now. For 50 euro, I'm willing to guinea pig one of the courses and report back how it is. Who's with me? *crickets* Bueller? Bueller?
