College composition citing requirements - Ninjyata - 05-03-2021
Hi! I will be taking the college composition clep test soon and I was wondering if anyone knew much about the requirements for citing sources on the second essay. I have read the description from college board about the requirements, but I was unsure if I needed a works cited list at the end. I can provide in text citations without much difficulty, I just wanted to verify that a works cited list was not necessary. Thanks in advance for any help. Have a great week!

I'm not sure how you'd actually cite anything if you're not allowed to reference materials during the test. But I've never taken this CLEP so I don't know.

I took the CLEP Composition 5 years ago. I don't remember having to do a References section at all. If I remember right, they give you a few sources at that section, and you just need to do in-text citations.
EDIT: You might want to see if your local library has a copy of the CLEP study guide.

I just took the College Composition and there are two references on the bottom that you have to cite in your argument.

Like others have said, it's just in-text citations. They give you some sources and you cite them. It's either MLA or APA, but they give you an example citation, if memory serves.
