Keeping up with the Kardashians - Alpha - 07-02-2021

Some might remember that a while back Kim started studying law with the intention of becoming an attorney.  She chose an unorthodox route though, studying independently under a practicing attorney.  It was hard enough to do it in the midst of the pandemic but she also has had to contend with the antics of Kanye.  Well I guess she's not doing so well but apparently she hasn't given up.  I'm not a big fan of any of the Kardashians but I am a big fam of determination.  Based on that, I hope she succeeds

I didn't realize you could stand the bar without a law degree.

Only in a handful of states. I want to say Just CA and Vermont, but that's just what's coming to memory.

And in CA (no idea how it works in VT), you still need to have documented 4 years of study under a judge or attorney at their offices during "normal business hours," so it's not the most practical way. Especially for someone with endless money like her.

You also need to take a "baby bar," (first year law exam) after one year of study, which law students at ABA or CalBar schools do not need to take. As of last month, she has failed this twice. Her year of her law study won't be recognized until she can pass this.

This always seemed like a publicity stunt. She's failed the exam twice. I just don't see her taking it seriously. She's too busy being a fashion diva traveling the world. If you're really studying for a bar exam you spend months nonstop studying.

I don't disagree with you but. in all fairness, that is the way she makes those millions.

If she were serious she could take a break from the fashion world. It's not like she needs the money. If she really wants to be a lawyer then she will have to make sacrifices and be there for her clients. She should know how difficult being a lawyer is. Her father was one.

Of course, I couldn't really say, but I'm guessing that she's not studying law so that she can work for someone else.

Lawyers always work for someone else. They work for their clients. They also need experience which you gain from working at a law firm.
