Passed the CHFI Exam - jamshid666 - 07-12-2021

I passed the EC-Council Certified Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) exam this evening! That's three more upper-level credits to add to the transcript.  Now I have to start studying for the CISSP.

Congrats! I know you have background in the field, but with that in mind, how much of a beast was this exam?

A little over half was a rehash of the certified ethical hacker exam, but with the addition of all the legal stuff: federal rules of evidence, court procedures, constitutional law.  The technical part wasn't bad for me since I have that background, but all of the legal business was challenging since that was an entirely new domain to me.  And I mean memorization down to specific sections of the USC, like 18 USC 2065(f) and stuff like that.  It was  a fun challenge though, worthy of the effort.

Congrats, wow! That's a challenging domain for me as well, I have a very low attention span, I read slow and have a bad memory. If I went that route, it would take me a long time to remember all these topics in regards to law, procedures, rules, etc. Great work! Again, congrats!

I got a voucher for the CHFI from WGU's MS-CSIA program, so it was included with my tuition.

Yeah, lots of repetition work with flashcards to get all those down.
